International initiative on x-ray fundamental parameters
2nd international virtual meeting in 2021
The next meeting of the International Initiative on X-ray Fundamental Parameters (IIFP) shall be held as a virtual meeting June 24, 2021, in conjunction with #EXSA2021, the 1st virtual conference on X-ray Spectrometry under the auspices of the European X-Ray Spectrometry Association (EXSA). To ensure broad international participation the meeting will consist of two separate sessions (the first with scientific talks, the second to discuss current topics) from about 13:30 h to 18:00 h (CEST).
This event is supported by EXSA and the EMPIR AEROMET II and MEMQuD projects.
It is now important to validate the FP values determined since the beginning of the IIFP initiative and to establish recommendations for users. Thus, a major goal of this meeting shall be the discussion and assessment of existing FP values by means of appropriate tools to be implemented. In addition to dedicated study groups these can include joint collaborative co-working initiatives aiming at the measurement or calculation of key values and the establishment of an up-to-date database.
