The next General Assembly (GA) of EXSA will take place on June 18, 2009, at 15:45 in the lecture hall of the TXRF 2009 conference (Lyktan in the Wallenberg conference centre, University of Gothenburg), Gothenburg, Sweden.

EXSA bestowed its Award for Young X-ray Spectrometrists yesterday during the EXRS2008 conference dinner to Giancarlo Pepponi. The winner of EXSA’s Award on Outstanding Career in X-ray Spectrometry 2008 is Peter Wobrauschek.

During the general assembly, June 17, 2008 in Cavtat a new executive committee has been elected. Peter Wobrauschek became the president for the third biennial term until June 2010.

The Biannual EXSA Award for Young X-ray Spectrometrists will be handed over during the next EXRS conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia, 15-20 June 2008.
Applications from young scientists at your laboratory are still welcome.
