PhD position at PTB in Berlin available
At PTB's Berlin-Adlershof site, they are looking to fill the following position in Department 7.2 (X-ray Metrology with Synchrotron Radiation):
doctoral candidate in physics
Your tasks will include the following:
Independently configurating and performing X-ray spectrometric measurements at the storage ring BESSY II and enhancing the associated experimental procedures
Experimentally characterizing instruments for X-ray spectrometry with synchrotron radiation
Evaluating measurement data and further developing evaluation methods and programs as well as analyzing the respective uncertainties
Applying the developed methods to selected examples from metrology
