EXSA supports Young X-ray Spectrometrists attending EXRS 2024

The European X-ray Spectrometry Association (EXSA) is happy to announce that it will provide some support to a limited number of Young X-ray Spectrometrists for attending the EXRS 2024 conference, via the payment of their registration fees.

EXSA and the EXRS Conference Series have, per tradition and since many years, a fruitful relationship. One of EXSA’s objectives, is indeed to support the EXRS Conference Series. EXRS is the biennial moment during which EXSA members gather to exchange on science, to discuss on the future of scientific collaboration and research, and during which EXSA bestows its awards (see the current call for applications at www.exsa.hu/?ysa2024), and organizes its General Assembly. This year, EXSA supports young scientists in the field of X-ray Spectrometry by settling their registration fees (early bird).

Only Ph.D. students, and early career scientists (e.g., Ph. D. obtained less than 3 years at the time of the EXRS 2024 Conference, 1^st Post-Doctoral Position) are eligible for EXSA support.

Deadline: March 15^th, 2024, 23:59 CET.

The Candidates should submit their applications and requested documents as a single integrated pdf and by themselves, not via third parties. All communication should be made in English. 

After checking that the application is complete, the documents will be sent to the selection committee, which consists of EXSA Executive Committee and EXSA officials, and/or selected EXSA members, to cover all fields of expertise related to X-ray Spectrometry.

The committee will judge the applications based on tangible aspects such as resume, abstract submitted, and on subjective aspects taking into account personal impression and impact value for the X-ray Spectrometry community.

Please note, EXSA will pay directly to the EXRS organizers the registration fees for the grantees. If an applicant is granted and has previously paid the registration fees, EXSA will not reimburse the applicant.

The grantees will acknowledge EXSA support on their presentations (oral and poster).
